The Jungpana Vintage Spring is perhaps the most fleeting and ephemeral of our three Darjeeling offerings this year. Upfront, the taste is of stone fruit and floral sweetness...peach or nectarine and orchids...a sensation like a passing wisp of cloud yet anchored just enough by subtle wood notes and a pleasing astringency.
Jungpana is a highly regarded tea estate established in 1899 east of Kurseong town with gardens ranging from 1000m to 1500m and accessible by foot only along a narrow winding track. Crisp, fruity and floral notes characterize these renowned first flush Darjeelings.
