Da Hong Pao, or Big Red Robe, is another large leaf varietal. Long, medium-heavy oxidized leaves produce a full bodied, roast heavy soup with a light floral aroma. Higher tannin levels will make your tongue pucker ever so pleasantly. This tea will easily handle 10 gongfu style steeps.
Song Lin and his family have been producing organically grown Dancong oolong for close to 80 years in Wudong Village, Chaozhou, the birthplace of Phoenix oolong. And they do fine a job of it!
○ Tea Leaf：4g
○ Water temperature：95℃ (203℉)
○ Water amount：100ml
○ Steep duration：Rinse and discard 1st infusion. 2nd ~10 sec. Steep for slightly longer for proceeding steeps. Can be steeped at least 10 times with small amounts of water.
